Report on the Eastern Conference on Workplace Democracy

Participants of the conference found the concepts behind Deximer's collaborative software development model compelling. The conference was largely attended by cooperatives and employee owned businesses seeking to share experiences and advocacy as well as take educational workshops. Deximer formed a partnership with CooperativeLife to develop online tools for collaborative consensus building and decision making.

Nonprofits Looking for More Effective Ways to Collaborate

The Institute for Rural Poverty hosted a conference at the University of Farmington, ME entitled: "Collaborative Services Network Planning Meeting". Deximer's vision for the CommonWealth forums was well received and sparked an exciting dialog around nonprofits, technology and collaboration.

Lawrence Lessig at the World Social Forum in Brazil

Lawrence Lessig is a public interest lawyer concerned with technology and civil rights legislation. He gave a speach at the World Social Forum in Brazil where he highlighted the benefits of Open Source software for the developing world.
